Precious one-of-a-kind porcelain figures in 1:12 scale by
Priska Hess-Groetsch, IGMA Artisan
Dolls are poured from major molds and each has been lovingly china painted and fired numerous times to obtain just the right look.
Costumes are created after an extensive amount of research, using a unique combination of old and new fabrics and trims. Most of the clothing is constructed out of silk and other natural fibers suited to miniature work and consists of one of a kind pieces that have been carefully searched out and selected. Clothing is NOT removable. Special attention is being paid to historic detail wherever applicable and many hours are spent on realistic draping of clothing.
Dolls are dressed with a certain position in mind and any attempt to change the given pose is not recommended since this would spoil the effect of the carefully arranged folds. Whenever possible the dolls will be balanced to stand on their own or will include a small stand which in most cases can be completely concealed by the clothing.
In an effort to ensure the individuality of each doll for the collector, some dolls or historic personalities may be repeated in varying costumes but never exactly duplicated.
